Memorial Day 2011

Memorial Day in America is set aside to honor those that gave their lives and those that served and protected our American Freedoms.  In our family my Father, and his 3 brothers, and Nancy's Uncles all served with honor.  My father was killed in WW2 just a few months before our victory.   My Stepfather also served in the Army and married my Mother and raised two kids plus his own two.  My Stepfather Chet was a man with a 6th grade education but was a great auto and truck mechanic and made enough to care for us all.  As a 10 year veteran of the U S Navy I want to thank all of those who have served.

In our family we celebrate Memorial Day by being together and enjoying the life we have.  I hope you enjoy the pictures of our celebration and remembrance of our servicemen.

Spring Flowers 2011

We always look forward to spring in Canal Winchester.   Just nice sprucing up the place.  Here are a few pictures of this spring at our home.  Thanks for viewing.  We did not plant as many flowers this year, but maybe next year the economy will be better.

Mother's Day 2011

Mother's Day is always a nice day in our family.  One of the changes this year is that our son KR hosted the get together with members of his family.   Lots of food, talk and great weather.  After all the rain in Ohio the sunshine was an extra nice treat.
