Family Visit to Roscoe Village

Ohio Made Products that we purchased in Roscoe Village
The leather fly swatter is really neat and the peanuts
are great.  The coaster is made from bridle leather as
is the fly swatter. They should never wear out.  The old
Ford above was touring the downtown Roscoe Village Street
In the early 1800's, plans were well underway to develop the means to transport people and goods from the ports of Lake Erie and the Ohio River to the villages and towns throughout the state.  In 1830 the first canal boat docked at Roscoe Village.  Today Roscoe Village is a very nice tourist type town that is home to several historical buildings, shops and of course a replica of the old Canal Boat.  This is a visual representation of our day trip to Roscoe Village Ohio.  This is the face book link for  Roscoe Village

Just a small bit of history the first canal boat came through Canal Winchester in 1831.  The locks for this barge are located about 3 miles from our home.  Here is the face book link to our home town

We started out with Breakfast at the Cracker Barrel, visited Longaberger Baskets, both of which are on
the way to Roscoe Village.  Hope you enjoy the trip and thanks for viewing our blog.  If you want to

I love Harleys.  I can imagine me sitting in this seat.
This Harley was parked on the Roscoe Village Street

Very Nice. I bet it will ride nice too.  If I was younger

a his and hers Harley. In our RV trips we have met
a lot of nice people who ride Harley's

Father's Day 2011

No Father's Day or family outing would be complete without remembering our Daughter, and KR's Sister Monica.   She passed away a few years ago and is greatly missed.

Monica Lee Farquhar We All Miss You

Monica in person on another Father's Day in yesteryear

Thank you Monica for all that you have given us

No Father's day would be complete, without the woman
who helped me become a Father

Nancy is really pretty short.  Hamburgers are on the
grill and KR is doing the cooking

Myself  and my Son KR.  The tag around my neck
is a Dog Whistle. I use it to call our Two German
Shepherd Dogs.

KR is doing good in life so that is always a good thing.
Especially now with the problems that are facing
America

Another picture for the Archives

Thanks for visiting our Blog on this Fathers Day

Have a great week

Rick and Nancy and KR
It is nice to have a day set aside for Fathers.   My Father was killed in WWII, so I did not get the
opportunity to honor him, in person, on this day.   I am lucky in that every year we have a little
family get together on Fathers Day.   There are not a lot of people like a family reunion, but it is
sure nice to have that one on one.
