This is Nancy and her first doll house. All the shingles, all the windows, all the parts were in a box. Over a few months time she built this doll house from scratch.
This is an inside view of her first doll house. Notice the wallpaper. The wallpaper came from scraps that, at one time, were on the walls of our home.
The above house is 43 inches tall.
This is the inside of Doll House number 2. Each room has wall paper and after all these years it is still sticking to the wall. All the steps, windows, flooring were cut to size and glued into place. Lots of detail in these houses.
This is the last picture you will see of Nancy and her Doll Houses. An antique dealer in Pickerington Ohio heard of the houses and wanted them. We delivered them to the store yesterday. At the store one of the houses was placed on a mantle and as you walked into the store you could not miss it.
Lots of work but Nancy really enjoyed building these. In fact she has started on another one. The new one will be slightly smaller than these two.
The antique dealer was thinking of putting one or both in the front store windows. That would definitely attract walk ins. When we delivered them customers were amazed at the amount of detail in the houses.

Nancy does not brag about her work, so I did it for her.
Thanks for viewing the blog and seeing one of Nancy's hobbies. Her other hobbies are Reading, RVing, Ham Radio, Cooking and Gardening.
Thanks again for looking at the blog and have a Great Day
