Updated Amateur Radio Station

A picture of our Amateur Radio Station (Ham Shack). The big change after the room remodeling is the updated console. Notice the two new console shelves on top of the desk. Made the last cut yesterday. It is really nice having everything at your fingertips. We also installed kick panels below the desk to hide all the cabling. The panels are removal just in case we need to run new cables. The computers are located on the left side. The computer is interfaced to the ham radio equipment. Pretty slick if I do say so myself

Nancy sitting at the updated station. We both are proud of the two small consoles . You cannot see them but there are 3 inch access holes in back of the smaller console and 3 inch holes on top and in back of the bigger console. These cutouts provide cable access to the equipment. Notice Nancy's little wood sign and flower on top of the equipment. It was hand made by a friend in Indiana named Charlie. He has passed on but he left a rememberance

Rick sitting at the new console. The wall speaker is an Old RCA Broadcast Speaker. It is one of two speakers that we use for the HF radio.

The VHF and UHF Radios have their own speaker system

This is a close up of the two new consoles and we have Charlies handcrafted signs on the top shelf. Charlie was a one of our friends from Rushville IN and he loved Cherry Pie.

Our other friend in Rushville IN are Mick and his wife Alice who introduced us to Charlie.

Thanks for viewing the blog and Have a great week
