Slate Run Living Historical Farm Trail Walks



Thanks for viewing this blog. Today we are taking the Five Oaks Trail Walk.  This is a great place to take yourself and your dog for a nice and peaceful walk.  For additional information on the Slate Run Trails walk please click on Slate Run Trails     then select Parks and then select Trails. Dog Clean Up Bags. We buy ours from Babies R Us.  These are
disposable diaper bags.  250 for about 13 dollars

The Park provides dog bags in case you forgot yours.

There are also grocery bags available. These they ask that
you contribute your extra bags to the park for others to use

Take time on your walk to smell the flowers

walk on bridges, but he man's up and does it.

Downhill on the Path. The path is full of moderate hills.

No matter where you walk there will be signposts to assist
you in getting back.  They even have pictures

Notice the trails are well maintained

Poison Ivy???  I take no chances. Remember
leaves of three let them be.

Picnic Tables are everywhere

Just add a table and you are set to go

Marker on the road to Buzzard Roost Lake

No Skateboard Allowed. I do not like a lot of restrictive
signs, but it sure is nice walking the trails and do not
have to worry about Bikes, Skateboards and the like

Trail to the lake.  It is all downhill going and uphill coming
back.  What kind I Say

The Kids Fishing Lake. Worms only allowed 

I just know there are very Big Fish under the lily pads.

 when the park has very few visitors
